TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Oct. 8, 2009 – More than $65 million in stimulus funds is available for housing assistance throughout Florida, state officials announced Tuesday as they attempt to make sure the funds get spent.I know of a family that is basically homeless after going through bankruptcy and now possibly 2 foreclosures. We are working to sell their properties through the short sale process, but meanwhile they are depending on family and friends for a place for their family to live. It's a very stressful, depressing experience. Florida has one of the highest rates of home foreclosures. This program is available to individuals and families who are income eligible with incomes below 50% of an area's median income.
